On June 6, 2025, the Revenue Department of the Indian Ministry of Finance issued Notice No. 14/2025 Customs (ADD), accepting the positive final anti-dumping ruling made by the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Vitamin-A Palmitate originating from or imported from China, Switzerland, and the European Union on March 10, 2025, and deciding to impose anti-dumping duties on the products involved in China, Switzerland, and the European Union for a period of 5 years, as follows: Shangyu NHU Bio Chem Co., Ltd., a Chinese producer involved in the case, is $14.95/kg, other Chinese producers are $20.87/kg, and DSM Nutritional Products Limited, a Swiss producer, is $0.8/kg. 7 USD/kg, 8.2 USD/kg for other Swiss manufacturers, and 11.09 USD/kg for EU manufacturers. This case involves products under Indian customs codes 29362100, 29362290, 29362800, 29369000, 29362690, and 29362990. The measures shall come into effect from the date of publication of this notice in the official gazette.
On March 28, 2024, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation into vitamin A palmitate originating from or imported from China, Switzerland, and the European Union, in response to an application submitted by Piramal Pharma Limited, a domestic enterprise in India. On March 10, 2025, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry made a positive final ruling on the case.
