Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) ver\u00f6ffentlichte am 13. den Globalen Bericht zur \u00dcberwachung der antimikrobiellen Resistenz 2025 und warnte davor, dass die Resistenz gegen h\u00e4ufig verwendete Antibiotika weltweit weit verbreitet sei und die zunehmende Schwere der Resistenz gegen essentielle Antibiotika eine wachsende Bedrohung f\u00fcr die globale Gesundheit darstelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Bericht stellt fest, dass im Jahr 2023 weltweit jede sechste laborbest\u00e4tigte bakterielle Infektion, die h\u00e4ufige Infektionen verursacht, resistent gegen Antibiotika war. Zwischen 2018 und 2023 nahm die Antibiotikaresistenz bei \u00fcber 401 untersuchten Erreger-Antibiotika-Kombinationen zu, mit einem durchschnittlichen j\u00e4hrlichen Anstieg von 51 auf 151 Erreger-Antibiotika-Kombinationen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Bericht fasste Daten aus \u00fcber 100 L\u00e4ndern zusammen und ver\u00f6ffentlichte erstmals gesch\u00e4tzte Resistenzraten f\u00fcr 22 Antibiotika, die zur Behandlung von Harnwegs- und Magen-Darm-Infektionen, Blutvergiftungen und Gonorrh\u00f6 eingesetzt werden. Er umfasste acht h\u00e4ufige bakterielle Erreger, darunter Acinetobacter baumannii und Escherichia coli, wobei jeder dieser Erreger mit einer oder mehreren der genannten Infektionen in Verbindung gebracht wird.
Der Bericht hob insbesondere hervor, dass arzneimittelresistente gramnegative Bakterien weltweit immer gef\u00e4hrlicher werden. Escherichia coli und Klebsiella pneumoniae z\u00e4hlen zu den h\u00e4ufigsten arzneimittelresistenten gramnegativen Bakterien, die Blutstrominfektionen verursachen. Diese schweren bakteriellen Infektionen f\u00fchren oft zu Sepsis, Organversagen und Tod. Weltweit haben jedoch bereits \u00fcber 401.000 E. coli- und \u00fcber 551.000 K. pneumoniae-Bakterien Resistenzen gegen die Erstlinientherapie \u2013 Cephalosporine der dritten Generation \u2013 entwickelt. In Afrika liegt dieser Anteil sogar bei \u00fcber 701.000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dar\u00fcber hinaus variiert das Risiko von Antibiotikaresistenzen weltweit. Die h\u00f6chsten Raten werden in der WHO-Region S\u00fcdostasien und der \u00f6stlichen Mittelmeerregion beobachtet, wo ein Drittel der gemeldeten Infektionen antibiotikaresistent ist. In der afrikanischen Region liegt dieser Anteil ebenfalls bei eins zu f\u00fcnf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
